Admittedly, we are a bit slow on the story but thought you'd like to know anyway. TechHub members Monoidics, a leading pioneer in code verification software who started their journey by working from TechHub (and remain members to this day), have had a big reason to celebrate recently. It's been reported late last week that they were acquired by Facebook, no less.
Here's what Philip Su (one of the heads up of Facebook London's engineering team), tweeted out to his 20,791 followers:
'Im excited to announce that weve agreed to acquire certain assets of Monoidics, a leading pioneer in code verification software! This asset acquisition represents our investment in the quality of our mobile applications platform and also our people, as members of their talented engineering team will join us to work at Facebooks London office once the deal closes (pending certain closing conditions). We have always focused on hiring smart, talented engineers -- and in this acquisition, we found many. Their entrepreneurial spirit and desire to make an impact make them great additions to Facebook. We cant wait to have them here! feeling excited at Facebook London.'
Monoidics themselves posted this on their blog shortly after.
Really well done Dino and the rest of the team! Computer Science meets Social, indeed.
