Here at TechHub we'd always had an inkling that Jukedeck were destined for big things. Their first rousing product showcase at #TechHubTuesday Demo Night in December last year was rapturously received and was followed by their winning of the LeWeb Startup Competition just a few days later
Now they've only gone on to slay at the awards game after being awarded first place at Pitch@Palace 3.0, beating off the likes of Grabble (the Tinder for fashion), Skignz (augmented reality signposts), OpenDesk (affordable, custom office-furniture) and Magic Pony Technology (delivering a step-change in video compression performance).
To sweeten the pot that little bit more, The Duke of York instructed each startup to make an explicit request of the audience during our respective pitches. Jukedeck wanted to be put in touch with Sean Parker, founder of Napster and who helped build both Facebook and Spotify. A tall order, you might say but Wikipedia founder, Jimmy Wales, who was at the Palace that night was able to hook them up.
A super successful night all round for amazing TechHub members, Jukedeck, keep your eye on them, you won't be disappointed.
