Jukedeck have been setting the startup world on fire ever since they were founded in 2014 by Ed Rex (Founder & CEO) & Patrick Stobbs (Co-Founder & COO) on the simple premise of making the right music for the right situation for the right price. The day all these accolades and awards were converging towards has arrived! Today Jukedeck launches Jukedeck MAKE - an online tool to allow creators to design customised royalty free music to match any occasion!
Using machine learning, Jukedeck’s artificial intelligence takes prompts from the creator about length, genre and feel to ensure the music is the perfect fit every time. Despite having just launched they already count both Google Developers and The Natural History Museum among their users and they’ve racked up 16 million views on YouTube.
Speaking on the need that Jukedeck fills Patrick identified that a rapidly growing video industry "needs a lot of music”! Jukedeck's “Technology allows every creator to make unique soundtracks - and they’re all completely royalty-free”.
There’s one other piece of news to celebrate for Jukedeck today! A second £2M VC round of funding! With previous investor Cambridge Innovation Capital leading, Backed LLP, Playfair Capital and Parkwalk Advisors helped to complete the round. They also have a former director of Shazam Entertainment - Chris Smart, now sitting on their Board.
So where to next with AI? Ed’s got a few ideas on that.
And finally who could forget Ed’s rap that cinched the LeWeb Startup Competition? Not us! Look at him go from 3:21!
