Islington Council have now released information about their discretionary grant fund for small businesses with ongoing office costs to businesses who can demonstrate a significant fall in income due to COVID-19.
The council has been awarded £2.8 million by the Government to distribute to businesses, and applications open the week beginning Monday 15th June. As you’re in TechHub, you can claim up to £5000.
To apply for a grant, you need to apply with the address TechHub London, 1-15 Clere Street, EC2A 4UY <- make sure you use this postcode or your application may be rejected.
TechHub is in the borough of Islington to whom we pay our business rates. Please do not apply to Hackney council based on your TechHub address as it will be rejected.
Check out Islington Council’s website for more information.
The online application form, together with full guidance, will be posted on the council website next week (Monday 15 June). They expect to award the first round of grants around the end of June and will continue to make payments in stages through to August. They will close the scheme when all the money has been allocated, so you must get in quickly if you’d like this grant to cover your TechHub costs.
