Get access to up to 500k of funding

The life of a start-up can change in a minute. And thats exactly the idea behind a pitch-based event from the lead Irish government agency for supporting start-ups - Enterprise Ireland and TechHub.

On Tuesday 8th October were giving you the opportunity to pitch your business idea to gain a chance to get access to up to 500k of funding from a 10 million start-up fund. All you have to do is tell us about your favourite subject your business!

The event is open to startups and all pitch participants must meet the eligibility criteria and also be willing to consider starting-up or relocating their business to Ireland.

Ireland has always delivered a pro-business attitude through low taxes, generous R+D tax credits, rewarding growth and encouraging new business through hands-on government support. It also has a highly-skilled, talented and competitive workforce who are used to working on international projects. Thats why global tech and life science giants like Google, Facebook, Dell, Johnson & Johnson, IBM and Cisco operate on Irish soil. The conditions which make Ireland an ideal location for multinational companies, also makes it a great location for start-ups. And this is your chance to join them!

The event will take place in two stages. The first is 2-minute pitch (without Powerpoint) where youll get to tell us about your business idea and why its different. The best eight businesses will have a further five minutes to pitch their ideas on stage to a panel including judges including John Kenny from VC Delta Partners, Paul McDonnell from Dublin Web Submit and serial entrepreneur and Jolt Online founder Dylan Collins. Youll get the chance to network with like-minded people and also start the morning right with some breakfast too!

Winners will not only have a shot of accessing 500k of funding, but theyll also be in with a chance to win prizes including free passes to the upcoming Dublin Web Summit in Ireland worth 995 each as well as complimentary flights from Delta Partners.

If youre not quite ready to pitch your heart out, you can still attend and listen to presentations from MD of BlikBook, Cheyne Tan, who moved his business from London to Dublin and John Kenny from Delta Partners. Youll also be able to watch as part of the audience and network afterwards.
