Divide raises $12m series B lead by Google Ventures

Exciting news yesterday that TechHub members Divide have announced their series B funding round of US$12 million, lead by Google Ventures, bringing its total funding to-date to US$25 million. Existing investors Comcast Ventures and Qualcomm Ventures also contributed, as did new investors Globespan Capital Partners and Harmony Partners.

Founded in 2010 with offices in London, New York and Hong Kong the BYOD startup formerly known as Enterproid, sells to hundreds of customers including some of the world's largest financial, healthcare and technology companies as well as federal agencies and small and medium-sized businesses. The product offers an encrypted workspace on employee devices to segregate business information and apps from their personal stuff.

Divide�s cloud-based manager lets IT folks easily manage what their employees have access to, and it also works together with most major corporate security network solutions.

Looking ahead, co-founder and CEO Andrew Toy says Divide is exploring how it can help people move beyond work email and document management, which is the most common usage of its platform right now.

With the 4G networks we have now, and the way our user experience works � I think it�s time we can redefine how people work in a very seamless and holistic way � so it�s unified communication.

Divide has been downloaded more than 200,000 times by consumers and professionals through the Apple App Store and Google Play. It's available as a free app or a more full-featured enterprise version for US$60 per user, per year and Divide's revenue this year is up tenfold from where it was a year ago.
