We are super excited to announce that our latest programme with BT Infinity lab has opened. Our new programme is focussing on the theme of ‘Better World’ and we are on the lookout for startups and SMEs that have created innovative technologies which promise to provide opportunities for those in society who may find certain aspects of their life challenging.
We are looking forward to receiving applications from tech start-ups and small businesses whose mission is to make life better for others. If your technology helps busy single parents better juggle childcare with their education, plays a critical role in helping retired people looking for part-time work, or helps people with disabilities to better engage with the activities they love most, you’re exactly what we’re looking for. More than just those examples, all start-ups and SMEs can help through technology, whether they provide enhanced access to work, sport, education or recreational activities, and we are interested in hearing about your technology and any of these applications.
All startups are encouraged to apply, whether you have just an idea, or a product, and shortlisted applicants will be invited to the BT Tower to pitch their idea to a panel of judges on 26th July 2018, where the winner will be announced. Alongside a £10,000 cash prize, the winner will also get an invaluable opportunity to take advantage of BT’s R&D, commercial and marketing expertise and resources, as they trial the technology with BTs employees and its customers, as well as six month membership to TechHub, which includes access to our workspace and member support programme, which is designed to aid our community to scale, fast!
If you’re interested in applying, check out the full press release from BT here for more details. The deadline for entries is midday on 18th June 2018. Full details on the competition and how to submit ideas can be found here.
