One of the most amazing parts of the tech ecosystem in London is that way in which people can come together to celebrate one another’s successes. Today we’re celebrating the awesomeness of TechHubbers, Ctrlio, who have closed their latest round of funding, totalling $1.3 million!
Ctrlio’s revolutionary service helps consumers use their personal data to connect with brands in a more meaningful way. After four months refining the product in the mobile category, the capital raised will be used to support Ctrlio’s accelerated growth plans to broaden their service to the wider public and additional partners, allowing the company to better serve a wider range of customers.
Laurence John, co-founder and CEO behind the company commented:
“Ctrlio has built a pioneering platform that lets consumers show their anonymous buying intentions to brands, without spam or loss of privacy. Following our success in the mobile market, we are ready to move into new channels, such as insurance and energy. This round of investment will help us continue to build momentum and make the crucial steps to take intention marketing to the masses.”
Investor, John Straw said:
“With Ctrlio, brands are no longer blind, as the pressure on digital advertising heats up amid the rise of adblocking, this new investment allows ctrlio to power a simpler and more effective alternative for brands to understand and respond to consumer needs in a relevant and timely manner.”

This latest round was led by Thorium Tech Investors (TTI) , after previous seed investment from Seedcamp.
Ctrlio are not new to the TechHub family, joining in December 2014 and they love being here so much, they’re about to move across to our new TechHub London flagship, meaning TechHub will continue to be integral to Ctrlio’s accelerated growth, that the close of this investment round signifies the start of.
